DUE TO WEATHER THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED "9/11" First Responders Supper

We remember the events of September 11, 2001, where 2,996 lives were lost.  Included in that figure were 343 firefighters, 23 police officers, and 37 port authority officers.  Many other first responders suffered great loss and bear the scars of this tragedy.

But as first responders do, they answered a call and responded to the need knowing the consequences.  However, the consequences can take an emotional toll, a burden that can be hard to carry, and difficult to shed.

As a first responder, your sacrifice is great.  We thank you.  Please allow us to serve you on such a significant day of remembrance to all in our country, and all who serve Her needs as first responders.

Jesus says

(Matthew 11:28-30)

28Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

St. Paul writes to the Philippians (4:6-7)

6do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
